  • Does my account stay the same?

    The first time you attempt to log in to your account, you will be prompted to enter a temporary password that we will email you and then create and enter a new password . You will also have to re-enter your credit card information (and associated billing address) upon your first purchase. The rest of your account information – and vouchers – will be the same and accessible.

  • How do I JOIN The Capitol Deal?

    Joining The Capitol Deal involves two steps, Subscribing and Registering:

    1. To subscribe for FREE to The Capitol Deal’s daily deal emails, simply go to and enter your email address

    and ZIP code in the box that pops up. (If you do not see a box pop up, just click the "SUBSCRIBE" button in the upper-right corner.)

    2. To register an account and begin purchasing deals, click “Register Now” at the top of this page and fill in the required information. If you are a Facebook user, you may also register using the “Facebook LOGIN” icon at the top of the screen.

  • How do I PURCHASE a Capitol Deal?

    To purchase a deal, simply click the green “CLICK HERE TO BUY” button in the black savings box for the deal you have selected. You will be directed to verify your account information, confirm the deal quantity you wish to purchase and enter your payment information. Upon completion of payment, your credit card will be charged and your deal voucher will be emailed to you. The credit and debit card we accept for payment are Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

    The Capitol Deal releases new deals every week, Monday through Friday. Be sure to check the countdown clock so you know how much time is left!

  • >How do I USE my Capitol Deal?

    After purchasing, your deal is sent to you via email in the form of a pre-paid voucher, which you will redeem with the merchant for the good or service listed on the voucher.

    If there are special redemption instructions for your deal (how to make a reservation at a restaurant, how to reserve your seats for a play, etc.), they will always be listed on your voucher along with the other deal restrictions. If there is no special redemption process for your deal, you can just go to the merchant’s address and show your voucher!

  • I've lost my voucher! Can I view my ORDER HISTORY and reprint my vouchers?

    You can always view and re-print your vouchers by logging in to your account at and clicking "My Deals and Credits," then "Order History."

  • Do I always need to PRINT my voucher?

    Unless the restrictions listed on you voucher say otherwise, you have the choice of either printing your voucher or showing your voucher on your smart phone. Whether printed or shown from a mobile device, vouchers must be presented to the business at the time of use.

  • What is your REFUND POLICY?

    We offer full refunds within 7 days of purchase, so if you change your mind and no longer want a voucher, please let us know by contacting us at After 7 days, we are not able to offer returns or refunds. On date specific events or when noted as non-refundable all sales are final, no returns or exchanges are permitted. Please see our Terms of Sale for more information.

    If a business closes down before the redemption window for your voucher expires, you will receive a full refund. Travelzoo serves as an agent in recommending the merchant or local business.   • What do I do if my voucher EXPIRES?

    You must redeem your voucher before the expiry date specified on the voucher. After the expiry date, you are no longer able to redeem it for its promotional value (the advertised deal), however, you are eligible to use the amount you paid for the voucher as a credit with the merchant. This value, also called face value or base value – never expires, according to applicable law. No refunds will be issued for expired vouchers. Please see our full Terms of Sale for more information.

  • What do I do if I forgot my PASSWORD?

    Simply click the Login button, and click on the "Forget Password" link. A email will be sent to your address on file, prompting you to reset your password.

  • How do I UNSUBSCRIBE from Capitol Deal emails?

    To unsubscribe from our deal emails, simply click the “opt-out of this newsletter only” link at the bottom of any Capitol Deal email. We’ll miss you terribly, but you can come back at any time!

  • I received a COUPON CREDIT CODE How do I redeem it?

    To redeem a coupon credit code, simply log in to your Capitol Deal account and select deal(s) that are equal or are higher than the price specified by the coupon code (ex: "$5 off a purchase of $20 or more"). Add the deal(s) to your cart and proceed to checkout. On the checkout screen, enter the code in the "Optional Promotion Code" box at the top of the page and click "Apply." Each coupon code is restricted to one use per account.(Note: Coupon codes received via D.C. blogs are valid for $5 off a purchase of $20 or more through 8/31/12 only.)

  • I'm a PostPoints Member who is new to The Capitol Deal. How do I get my 500 points for registering?

    All you need to do is register for a purchaser account on our site. Select the Registration tab, and enter your PostPoints Member number in the appropriate field (if you're a Silver member, enter SILVER) and we'll make sure the 500 points are deposited in your PostPoints account. Please allow up to 30 days to process.

  • How do I get points for my deal purchases?

    For every purchase you make on The Capitol Deal, you'll also earn 25 PostPoints. Simply enter your PostPoints number in the appropriate field at checkout (if you're a Silver member, enter SILVER) and we'll make sure the points are deposited in your PostPoints account. Note: Offer is not valid for deals obtained by use of credits only, for free promotions or for transactions not conducted on the Capitol Deal website.
